A successful Business Development Manager will be able to maximize market share for the company and convert leads and prospects into top accounts. The Business Development Manager reports to the Sales Director. 
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-focused business development manager with the commitment and energy to drive our business forward! 

 
A Business Development Manager… 
• Hunts for new markets and new leads  
• Conducts market research to formulate market strategy and marketing initiatives for  
the company in that market 
• Generates leads that become prospects  
• Understands the company’s competitive advantages, can pivot, and navigates a sales  
negotiation 
• Advises customers on the best colocation and data center solutions 
• Manages the sales cycle from prospecting & qualifying to closing  
• Manages his/her pipeline reporting for optimal sales planning and forecasting. Uses  
the appropriate tools, including Sales Force and Excel 
• Is an agile and versatile presenter for customer visits, conventions, convention booths,  
formal group presentations, prospect pitches, datacenter tours, etc.  
• Develops an extensive personal network and comes to be a trusted advisor in the  
industry 
• Acts as the eyes and ears of the company. Continuously scouts the market and  
gathers intelligence regarding prospects, competition, technology trends, etc. Filters  
the information back into the organization  
• Builds brand value and awareness at industry events and online within a segment 
• Can manage an event where the company exhibits 
• Maintains a self-development regimen on new technology trends, company offerings,  
and industry news 

  

Requirements 
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a  
sales environment  
• Experience with (and excellent knowledge of) data center technology (power, cooling,  
rack servers, connectivity, etc) 
• Several years' experience in sales, preferably in a datacenter or IT services environment  
• Experience in opening-up new markets and planning-out expansion strategies  
• Able to translate technology offerings into customer needs 
• Excellent communication and social skills  
• An independent, open-minded, and optimistic personality 
• Excellent work ethics and organizational skills. A self-starter. 
• Ability to travel up to 50%, driver’s license  
• You have the determination and focus to bring LeaseWeb to the next level
